Kodak Wi-Fi Camera
More than a year ago Kodak introduced the world's first WiFi digital camera, allowing users to e-mail images without first going through a PC. It took longer than expected to get to the market -- hey, that's technology -- but the camera is taking a beating this week from CNET, one of the more popular technology web sites.
CNET put the EasyShare-One on its list of the 10 worst technologies for the second quarter of 2006. EasyShare-One was named the "worst camera surrounding a good idea.;" CNET notes that while the wireless transmission works well, the camera struggles from "bad menu navigation, murky backgrounds, purple/pink halos."
It's at least got good company. Also meriting CNET's derision: Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak for trying to popularize the Segway scooter by using it in a polo match (Worst New Sport); and "X-Men: The Official Game" video game (Worst Game Based on a Movie.)
