Medley Centre, nee Irondequoit Mall

Say what you will about the addition of Steve & Barry's University Sportswear to the former Irondequoit Mall (yes, it's ONE store with a particular niche) but mall owner Adam Bersin is at least delivering progress where previous owners could not or would not. And this is certainly a different sort of development, considering the properties that are wasting away in our area (Midtown, Sibley's.) Steve and Barry's is no Mom and Pop shop, either, but a serious player in the retail scene. This U.S. News and World Report article refers to the chain as the "fastest growing retailer you've never heard of." The chain recently penetrated Manhattan, according to the New York Sun. Steve and Barry are attracting attention all over the country, as well.
